Literary Seminar at Jabalpur on 19th and 20th September 2009

National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language and Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli Sahitya Sabha organized two day All India Literary Seminar on 19th & 20th September 2009 at Bheraghat, Jabalpur. nder the theme of “Yaad” ,two day seminar was dedicated to the life and works of four personalities.


Chief Guest , honourable speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Shri Ishwar Das Rohani inaugurated the seminar and welcoming the writers attending the seminar expressed happiness that Jabalpur has been selected for the same .He also expressed the hope that in future also Jabalpur will find favour and he will  be glad to extend all the possible help.


Vice chairman apprised the delegates about existing schemes of NCPSL and also  highlighted the future programmes like online learning and Sindhi Programmes to be telecast on the Doordarshan. He invited new and innovative proposals from the delegates .


The two day seminar was divided in four sessions:


 Session 1


Sub: Narayan Shyam and his  poetry  in today’s context

   Paper by : Arjun Hasid .

Sub:Govind Malhi and propagation of Sindhi Music

   Paper by : Dr. Jagdish Lachhani,

   Review by: Ghanshyam Vaswani.

   The session was presided by Jhamu Chhugani


Session 3


Sub:A.J. Uttam and Sindhi Literature

   Paper by: Mohan Gehani

   Review by:Veena Shringi

   The session was presided by Hiro Thakur


Session 4


       Sub:Ramesh Janjani and Sindhi Drama

   Paper by:  Dr. Jetho Lalwani
